HOW IT HAPPENED
- Castleton got on the board first in the 15th minute when Lucas McCane's initial shot was saved on a nice diving play by Sullivan. The rebound went right to Tanner Curtis at the right post who buried a shot into the open net.
- Canton wasted no time responding less than a minute later. Brandon Ardon played a beautiful cross in from nearly 40 yards out on the left-hand side finding Brimelow in the box. He took one touch to his left placing a left-footed shot into the lower right corner to knot things up.
- The Roos held a 7-5 shots on goal advantage in the opening half as the teams headed to intermission tied at one.
- The Roos had a great chance at the lead with just less than 24 minutes remaining when Mason Holmes placed a beautiful header on net with the Castleton goalkeeper off his line but a Spartan defender saved the shot from going in.
- Neither team was able to find the game-winner late as the teams settled for the draw.
