Canton, NY – Freshmen Jason Vela and Nolan Sullivan combined to make 12 saves, but the SUNY Canton men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to neighboring St. Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Henry Brown scored the Saints first goal in the 8^th minute with the assist going to Owen Lillis.
• Sam Pijpers doubled St. Lawrence's lead in the 17^th minute on a penalty kick to make the score 2-0.
• The Saint's Ryan Campbell found the back of the net in the 25^th minute on an unassisted tally.
• Gustav Scheibler scored early in the second half to put the Saint's up 4-0.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• St. Lawrence had 18 shots on goal, Canton recorded one by freshman Gary Gutama.
• The Saints were awarded 12 corner kicks compared to two for the Roos.
• Vela recorded five saves and gave up three, Sullivan made seven saves, giving up just one second half goal.  Saints' goalkeeper George Charalambous made just one save.
