Owen Lebron scored his first collegiate goal to get SUNY Canton within a goal in the second half, but host SUNY Poly pulled away late to earn a 6-1 win on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The hosts jumped out to an early lead scoring twice in the first 10 minutes of action. Jhonny Theze scored on a low shot to the left in the fifth minute off the setup from Thomas Nimineh and Payton Bennett tallied on a shot into the upper right corner in the 10th minute.
- SUNY Poly held a 6-2 shots on goal advantage in the opening half taking a 2-0 lead into intermission.
- The Roos cut the lead in half in the 56th minute when Lebron beat a pair of defenders down the right sideline and his shot deflected off Wildcat keeper Ryan Primus' hands into the upper corner to make it 2-1.
- With less than 28 minutes remaining a SUNY Canton player was whistled for their second yellow card of the contest as the Roos would play the remainder of the game with 10 players.
- SUNY Poly added an insurance goal in the 67th minute when Nimineh scored into the upper left corner. Less than a minute later Theze tacked on his second of the night.
- The Wildcats continued their quick striking ability as Nimineh added his second of the night less than three minutes later and Edgar Gomez concluded the scoring in the 75th minute, Poly's fourth goal in an eight-minute span.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- SUNY Poly held the upper hand in shots (31-8), shots on goal (14-5) and corners (6-1).
- Lebron, a defender, scored his first career goal for the Roos in his 39th career game.
- Nimineh led the Wildcats with two goals and an assist, while Theze also scored twice. Abus Mohamed-Ali registered a pair of assists.
- Primus made four saves allowing a goal in the win over the first 75 minutes of action for Poly. Tyler Barth did not face a shot on goal in the final 15 minutes in relief.
- Jason Vela made five saves allowing six goals over the first 75 minutes, while Nolan Sullivan stopped both shots he faced over the final 15 minutes.
