Canton, NY – Brody Fuhrey and
Gwendolyn Glennon led the Roos men's and women's golf teams with rounds of 81 and 91, respectively, in the first round of the St. Lawrence Invitational on Saturday at Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED - MEN
- Fuhrey led the men's team with a round of 81 shooting 40 on the front before carding a 41 on the back. He birdied the par five fourth hole as he sits in a tie for 32nd place out of 58 golfers after the opening round.
- Kahontiio Lazore tallied a round of 82 (43-39) in his collegiate debut and sits in a tie for 37th place. John McCall wasn't far behind (T-40) posting an 83 (45-38) with a birdie on the par five 18th hole.
- Kyle Murphy posted an 87 (42-45: 52nd) with a birdie on the fourth hole, while Tyler Martin rounded out the Canton contingent with a 93 (44-49: 56th).
- The Roos sit in 10th place out of the 11 team field with 333 strokes. Clarkson's 'A' team leads the field with a 302 closely followed by St. John Fisher (304) and St. Lawrence's 'A' and 'B' teams (305).

HOW IT HAPPENED - WOMEN
- Glennon paced the Roos with a round of 91 (45-46) recording seven pars and is in a tie for 18th place out of 39 golfers. Maddy Thompson finished with a round of 113 (60-53).
- Raven Murphy posted a 118 (65-53), while Anna Hoffman finished with a round of 126 (58-68) including a birdie on the par three third hole.
- The Roos sit in seventh place out of seven teams with a score of 448. Ithaca leads all teams with a score of 325 ahead of Union (339) and SUNY Cortland (343).
