Oswego, NY – Sophomore
Danika Lalonde scored her team-leading 13
th goal of the season, but the SUNY Canton women's hockey team could not overcome a 2-0 deficit and dropped their contest against Oswego State 3-1, in a SUNYAC matchup Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rheya Zemlak scored the only goal of the first period just 1:50 into the game for Oswego, putting the Lakers up early 1-0.
- Tessa Mucha put Oswego up 2-0 at 15:44 of the second, banging home a rebound past freshman goaltender Molly Lenihan.
- Lalonde pulled the Roos to within one midway through the third, scoring on a wrap-around attempt at 9:56. The goal was assisted by freshmen Riley Andzel and Anna Pavlasova.
- Despite pressure late, Canton was unable to draw even and the Lakers scored an empty net goal with less than a minute to play to win the contest 3-1.

- Canton was 1/3 on the power play and the Lakers were 0/2.
- The Roos had a slight edge at the faceoff dot 26-24.
- Lenihan finished with 20 saves for Canton while her counterpart Lexi Levi made 26 saves for Oswego.
