Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton cheerleading program recognized its four seniors at halftime of the men's basketball game on Saturday on Senior Day.
Abby Pramana,
Emma Hayes,
Lea Shaffer and
Elizabeth Nichols were all recognized between the first and second half of the Roos game on Stan Cohen Court.
Nichols is a Veterinary Technology major with a Veterinary Service Administration minor. She has been a three-year member of the cheerleading team. Her favorite memory is going to practice each week and seeing all of her teammates, many of which have become some of her best friends at SUNY Canton. Elizabeth's advice to teammates and students would be the opportunities to be on a collegiate sports team don't come around every day – cherish each moment as the time flies by.
Shaffer is a Forensic Criminology major who recently graduated in December but is back with us today to celebrate. She has been a three-year member of the cheerleading team. Her favorite memories are the team dinners and the first time she got to fly. Her advice to teammates is everything happens for a reason – you guys got this.
Hayes is also a Forensic Criminology major. She has been a three-year member of the team and is also a member of the SUNY Canton softball team. Her favorite memory is team dinner. Her advice to teammates is to enjoy every moment because the time flies.
Pramana is a Mechanical Engineering maor. She has been a three-year member of the team. Her favorite memory from her time on the team is when she was named captain. Her advice to teammates is if you want it, fight for it!
