Cicero, NY – John McCall carded a round of 11-over par 83 as he sits in a tie for 25th place after the second round of the Empire 8 Men's Golf Championship at Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club on Monday.
This marks the first half of the 2024-25 championship, with the 36-hole spring portion of the E8 Championship scheduled for April 2025. The team with the lowest score at the conclusion of the four rounds will be crowned league champion.
The 2024-25 Empire 8 champion receives an automatic berth into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, set for May 20-23 at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, NY, hosted by St. John Fisher.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- McCall went out in 41 before coming home in 42 on Monday as he recorded two birdies and three pars. Brody Fuhrey shot 43 on the front and 47 on the back with four total pars.
- Donald Cordova finished with a 43 on both sides tallying five pars on his round. Ben Wiley registered seven pars to shoot 49 and 43, while Kyle Murphy posted a birdie and three pars (47-51) to post 98. Mason Dumas was the final SUNY Canton player in action shooting a 103 on Monday.
- The Roos posted a round two team score of 351 for a two-day total of 693 (342-351) to finish ahead of SUNY Poly (723). St. John Fisher leads all teams with a 604 (299-305) ahead of second place Nazareth's 629 (314-315) and third place Utica's 637 (323-314).
- St. John Fisher has the top three individual spots at the midway point of the championship in RJ Juodaitis (149), Keegan Smith (151) and Joe DePasquale (152).
