Morrisville, NY – Sophomore Chamonix Jackson scored her fifth goal of the season to give the SUNY Canton women's soccer team a 1-0 lead in the first half, but two second half goals by SUNY Morrisville were the difference in a 2-1 win for the Mustangs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jackson put the Roos on the board in the 35^th minute, stealing the ball from a Mustang defender and making a nice move to beat another before blasting a shot past Morrisville's goalkeeper to put Canton on top 1-0.
• Morrisville's Lily Hunter knotted the game at one less than two minutes into the second half.
• The game would remain tied through the second half until Ella Congdon scored the game winner for the Mustangs with 12 minutes remaining.
• The Roos would register three shots on goal in the second half, but none found the back of the net and the Mustangs won the game 2-1.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Morrisville had an edge in shots on goal (12-6) and corner kicks (7-4).
• Senior Kamryn Barnes led Canton with two shots on goal.  Jackson, Shannon Platt, Gabbie Flynn and Chloe Stretton all recorded one.
• Senior goalkeeper Skylar Williams made 10 saves while her counterpart Kayle Roberts was credited with five.
