Danika Lalonde scored her 11
th goal of the season to tie the game 1-1, but the SUNY Canton women's hockey team couldn't get over the top, dropping a 2-1 decision at SUNY Potsdam in a SUNYAC match on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Potsdam's Megan Teachout scored the game's first goal at 4:09 of the second. Her goal was unassisted.
- Lalonde tied the game at 1-1 with a power-play tally just 48 seconds into the third. Seniors Desiree Snook and Iida Laitinen both assisted on the play.
- Teachout scored the game-winner at 11:08 of the third period, her second unassisted goal of the evening.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Lalonde's 11 goals surpass her total of 10 last season and lead the team this year with six regular season games to go.
- The Roos were 1/7 on the power play and a perfect 4/4 on the penalty kill.
- Canton won the battle at the faceoff dot, 38-31 with Snook leading the way for the Roos with 11 draws won.
- Junior Anna Maulson took the loss for the Roos, making 19 saves. Magalie Parent made 27 saves for the Bears, earning the win.
