Molly Lenihan made 34 saves and kept the game scoreless through almost 50 minutes, but the SUNY Canton women's hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to #7 Hamilton College on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In a scoreless first period, Lenihan played strong, stopping all nine shots she faced. She was helped by a defense that blocked several shots.
- Hamilton appeared to take a 1-0 lead at the 18:49 mark of the second. Lenihan made the initial save but the Continentals' Ali Joseph poked at the puck and pushed it over the line. The referee ruled that he had blown the whistle prior to the puck crossing the line and the game remained scoreless.
- Katie Allen finally broke the scoreless tie at 9:54 of the third period. Lenihan stopped the initial shot by Emily Ferguson but Allen collected the rebound and beat the Roos goaltender.
- Claire McGennis doubled Hamilton's lead at the 15:04 mark of the third, intercepting an outlet pass and skating in tight before placing a wrist shot over Lenihan's glove.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Roos were 0/1 on the power play and did not commit any penalties.
- Canton won 22 faceoffs to the Continentals 17.
- Seven Roos combined for seven blocked shot in the game.
- Lenihan registered 34 saves, the second most of her young career. Teagan Brown made 21 saves for the Continentals.
