Anna Maulson earned her first shutout in the blue and gold and senior
Iida Laitinen posted two assists for the SUNY Canton women's hockey team, who won 3-0 over SUNY Potsdam in a SUNYAC match between the two local rivals.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- After a scoreless first period, sophomore Kyra O'Keefe lit the lamp for the Roos at 15:46, batting a rebound past Bear's goaltender Magalie Parent. The goal was assisted by freshmen Chamonix Jackson and Jordan Caroccio.
- Sophomore Danika Lalonde put Canton up 2-0 just 2:51 into the third, snapping a shot over Parent's glove. Laitinen and sophomore Sydney Valiquette assisted on the play.
- Freshman Riley Andzel added an insurance goal at 6:52 of the period, taking a pass from Laitinen and snapping a wrister top shelf. The power-play marker put the Roos up 3-0, freshman Isabella Paswaters earned the secondary assist.
