Canton, NY – Four Roos scored in double figures, but the duo of Anaira Ayala and Alexandria Paquet combined for 50 points in an 80-68 win against the SUNY Canton women's basketball team on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead, their largest of the game, after a pair of Jayda Pina layups and a jumper from Sierra Pabo. The Lions closed the first quarter on a 15-5 run to take a 23-18 lead after the opening quarter.
- ENC outscored Canton 19-14 in the second quarter to take a 42-32 lead into intermission.
- Pabo led the Roos with nine first-half points, while Ayala paced the Lions with 13.
- Canton trimmed the deficit to just five at one point in the third quarter, but the Lions ended the stanza on a 5-0 run to lead 64-52 after three quarters.
- The visitors extended their advantage to their largest of the game at 19 midway through the fourth quarter as they cruised to the victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Torie Moore posted a team-high 16 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals shooting 6-for-11 from the field. Pabo tallied 13 points and Samantha Dayter stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and three steals. Jayda Pina also scored in double figures with 10 points and added six rebounds, while Hope Aniceto chipped in seven points with four assists and four rebounds.
- Ayala led all players with 26 points on 10-for-18 shooting and Paquet tallied 24 points, five rebounds and three assists.
- Canton held advantages in points in the paint (30-20), points off turnovers (16-8) and second chance points (16-8). The Lions controlled bench points, 41-22. Â Â
