  • In the third set, it was Alfred State taking an early lead, before the Roos scored five straight points, including an ace by Clark to trail only 8-7.  The Pioneers led 22-18 late but four straight Roo points tied the set 22-22.  The Roos scored the last three points of the set, including the game winner on a Balcom ace to win 25-23.
  • The fourth set was dominated by Alfred State as they jumped out to a quick 8-2 lead.  Canton could not close the gap, dropping the set 25-10.
  • In the fifth and final set, a Taggart ace put the Roos ahead 3-2 early.  A kill by Alfred State's Erin Gregoire tied the match 5-5.  A Hannah Lombardi kill put the Roos ahead 11-8, but the Pioneers scored five of the next six points to lead 13-12.  But Canton was able to score five of the next seven points, including the game-winner on a Balcom Kill to win the set 17-15.
 Match 2 – BOX SCORE
