Women’s Soccer Drops Road Tilt vs Elms College

Chicopee, MA – The SUNY Canton women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to host Elms College on Sunday afternoon.  Freshman Emma Cahill stopped five shots in the loss.

  • Result:  Elms College 4, SUNY Canton 0

HOW IT HAPPENED 
  • The Blazers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead just over seven minutes into the game.  The Roos settled down for the rest of the half to keep Elms off the scoresheet.
  • Emily Basua scored her second of the game at 55:32 with the assist going to Kaylee Little.
  • Little closed out the scoring just four minutes later with Kelly Malheiro assisting.
 INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Junior Morgan Nealon registered the lone shot on goal for the Roos.  The Blazers' Basua finished with two goals, Little had a goal and an assist and Malheiro had two assists.
  • Cahill made five saves for SUNY Canton and Gianna Liquori made one for Elms.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Roos host Oswego State, Tuesday September 5th at 4 p.m.
