Torie Moore scored 10 and added a team leading seven rebounds, but the SUNY Canton women's basketball team dropped a 68-44 decision to SUNY Cobleskill in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- After trading baskets early, Cobleskill went on a mini-run to lead 11-6. The Roos closed the gap capped by a Sierra Pabo free throw to end the quarter tied at 13-13.
- Hope Aniceto opened the second quarter with a three to put the Roos up 16-13 but the Tigers outscored the Roos 21-4 the rest of the way, including four three-pointers, to lead 34-20 at the half.
- In the third quarter, the teams played fairly even with Moore leading the Roos with six points. Canton was unable to close the gap, trailing 50-33 after three.
- The Tigers pushed their lead in the fourth, outscoring the Roos 18-11. Aniceto led the Roos with five points in the quarter.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Three Roos finished the night with six points, including Pabo, senior Samantha Dayter and sophomore Emma Perez.
- Dayter and sophomore Marijke Kroon each had five rebounds.
- Logan Thayne led the Tigers with 19 points and 19 rebounds.
- Cobleskill had an edge in points off turnovers (21-14), second-chance points (12-4), bench points (17-11) and points in the paint (32-24). The Roos led in fast break points (4-0).
