Chamonix Jackson each scored Saturday afternoon for the SUNY Canton women's hockey team, but the team dropped a 4-2 decision to #4 Plattsburgh State in a SUNYAC matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Julia Masotta opened the scoring for the Cardinals at the 14:14 mark of the first period. Her goal was assisted by Adriana Urban and Kendall Wasik.
- Masotta scored a powerplay goal at 14:46 of the second to increase Plattsburgh lead to 2-0. Assisting were Wasik and Ivy Boric.
- Snook capitalized on a late opportunity in the second, collecting a rebound and beating Cardinal goaltender Chloe Lewis, with just 16 seconds remaining in the second period, closing the gap to 2-1. Snook's goal was assisted sophomore Danika Lalonde and freshman Jordan Caroccio.
- Zsofia Pazmandi gave the Cardinals another two-goal cushion 7:22 into the third, with assists to Bridget Orr and Urban.
- Jackson got the Roos back within one five minutes later, driving to the net from the circle and lifting a shot over the goaltender's blocker and into the goal. Freshman Kylah Small and Caroccio assisted on the goal.
- Boric scored less than 30 seconds later, making the final score 4-2.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Snook now has nine goals in 12 games. Caroccio's two assists give her six now for the season.
- Canton was 1/3 on the power play and 3/4 on the penalty kill.
- Plattsburgh edged out the Roos on faceoffs 28-26.
- Freshman Molly Lenihan made 33 saves in the loss, Lewis had 26 for the win.
