Danika Lalonde scored three goals and senior
Desiree Snook added two more to help lead the SUNY Canton women's hockey team to a 5-2 victory over SUNYAC foe Buffalo State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hannah Tingley opened the scoring for the Bengals, scooping up the puck at her own blue line and skating into the Canton zone before snapping a wrist shot past freshman goaltender Molly Lenihan. The goal was scored at 1:02 of the first period and was unassisted.
- Lalonde evened the game for the Roos at the 17:07 mark, taking a pass from sophomore Asha Hanson and driving through the outside of the crease before tucking it behind Buff State goaltender Jess Auge.
- The Roos jumped into the lead just 28 seconds into the third period when Lalonde scored her second of the night, banging home a rebound into the open net. Snook earned the assist.
- Lalonde completed the natural hat trick, scoring a short-handed goal for the Roos at 3:56 of the third. The goal was assisted by senior Iida Laitinen and sophomore Tilly Couture.
- Snook extended the lead to 4-1 at the 10:20 mark, stealing the puck from a Bengal defender and lifting a shot over the blocker of Auge.
- Grace Zwolak scored a power play goal for Buff State at 16:45 of the third.
- Snook scored her second of the night at 18:29 of the third with the assist going to Lalonde.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Lalonde's hat trick was the first of her career and doubled her goal output for the season.
- Snook's two goals and assist gave her a team-leading eight goals and 11 points on the year.
- Lenihan finished with 21 saves while her counterpart Auge had 38.
- Canton was 0-3 on the powerplay while the Bengals were 1-3.
- The Roos won the faceoff battle 36-29.
