Desiree Snook scored two goals and added an assist and sophomore
Kyra O'Keefe scored a goal and two assists to help lift the SUNY Canton women's hockey team to a 3-1 victory over Stevenson University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Kyra O'Keefe scored the lone goal of the first period, banging home a centering pass from senior Desiree Snook. The goal was scored at 16:38 of the period and assisted by freshman Kylah Small.
- Snook put the Roos up by two at the 2:46 mark of the second period, blasting a cross-crease feed from O'Keefe over the blocker of Stevenson goaltender Ainsley King.
- Emily Brightbill put the Mustangs on the board at 14:35 of the second and was assisted by Franki Cappello and Cassie Campbell.
- Snook scored the insurance goal for Canton at 4:20 of the third, giving the Roos a two-goal cushion. The goal was assisted by O'Keefe and freshman Lilo Emerson.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Snook's goals were her fifth and sixth of the year, to lead the Roos. O'Keefe's assists gave her six for the year which also leads the Roos.
- Canton was 0/2 on the power play while Stevenson was 1/4.
- The Roos won the faceoff battle 36-21.
- Sophomore goalie Claire Noftell stopped 11 and earned her third win of the season. King made 40 saves for the Mustangs.
