Hannah Lombardi tallied a career-best nine kills in the nightcap, but the SUNY Canton women's volleyball team closed out its season with a pair of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) losses to SUNY Morrisville and SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
MATCH 1 - BOX SCORE
- Morrisville jumped out to a 12-4 lead in the opening set cruising to a 25-15 win in the opener.
- After the Mustangs started with an 8-2 lead in the second stanza the Roos battled back to knot things at nine apiece. Morrisville had match point at 24-17 but Canton tallied three consecutive points before falling 25-20.
- The Roos were within 17-15 in the third frame but Morrisville rattled off seven consecutive points and took the third set and match 25-17.
- Brooke Hite led the Roos with six kills hitting .235 (6-2-17), while Cadin Taggart added four kills.
- Sammie Frank dished out 14 assists and Kaylee Clark and Sarah Balcom supplied eight digs each.
- Emily Huppee led the Morrisville attack with 22 kills, while Kayla Sheasby had 20 digs and Hannah Taylor finished with 31 assists.
MATCH 2 - BOX SCORE
- The Roos got out to a 17-9 lead in the opener of the nightcap before an 8-1 run got the Tigers within one. Canton would rally for a 25-21 victory.
- Play was even at 15 apiece midway through the second stanza before a 6-1 run gave the Roos a 21-16 advantage on the way to a 25-19 win.
- Cobleskill dominated the third set with a 25-11 victory before earning a 25-18 fourth set win.
- The Tigers would take the decisive fifth frame 15-10 to complete the comeback from down two sets to none.
- Alexas Marshall paced the Canton attack with 12 kills, while Lombardi supplied a career-high nine kills hitting .278 (9-4-18). Balcom totaled eight kills, while Clark (15), Balcom (13) and Frank (11) all had double digit digs. Frank assisted 35 kills and added five aces.
- Alexis Miranda led the hosts with 18 kills and 12 total blocks.
