Canton, NY – Gabbie Flynn scored her first career goal to lead the SUNY Canton women's soccer team to a 1-1 draw against visiting Eastern Nazarene College in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Senior Day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions had two great early chances as Jordan Lee evaded an oncoming Skylar Williams but her shot hit the left post. Two minutes later Lee had another shot attempt on a through ball but the shot was turned aside by Williams.
- With 18 minutes left in the opening half Mayella Rubin had great service on a corner kick nearly finding Shannon Platt at the back post.
- The Roos got on the board in the 42nd minute when Morgan Nealon found Gabbie Flynn who ripped a beautiful shot from 25 plus yards out high just over the outstretched arm of Mackenzie Quick and under the cross bar.
- Eastern Nazarene held a slim 4-3 shots on goal advantage in the opening half, but the Roos led 1-0 at intermission.
- Canton looked to extend its lead 19 minutes into the second half as a Platt cross found Meah Boyles but her shot was saved by Quick.
- In the 85th minute the Roos were whistled for a defensive foul off a corner kick in front of their own goal resulting in a penalty kick. Kayla Dorn stepped up and buried the shot into the left corner resulting in the tie.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- ENC held a slim advantage in shots (14-11) and shots on goal (8-6), while holding an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
- Boyles led the Roos with four shots on goal.
- Williams tallied seven saves in the draw, while Quick finished with five saves for the Lions.

The Roos are back in action on Tuesday when they visit VTSU Johnson at 12 p.m.
