Hope Aniceto netted a game-high 18 points but strong second and fourth quarters lifted the St. Lawrence women's basketball team past SUNY Canton in a non-conference game on Monday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Lawrence jumped out to an early 9-3 lead just under three minutes into the opening quarter. The Roos outscored the Saints 13-7 over the next seven minutes as the teams were tied at 16 after one quarter.
- The Saints controlled play in the second quarter outscoring the Roos 23-12 to take a double-digit lead at 39-28 into intermission.
- Hope Aniceto led all players with 11 points in the first half, while Samantha Dayter had six. Olivia Barringer paced the visitors with 10 points.
- Play was extremely even in the third quarter with the Roos holding a slim 12-10 advantage as they cut the deficit to single digits as Sophia Munoz hit a jumper just before the buzzer. St. Lawrence led 49-40 after three quarters.
- The Saints pulled away with a 25-point fourth quarter for the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Aniceto paced the Roos with 18 points hitting four of her 10 three-pointers. Samantha Dayter, Joie Culkin and Munoz chipped in eight points apiece. Dayter tallied five rebounds, four assists and a game-high three blocks.
- Barringer led the Saints with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Hannah Van Dyke posted 13 points. Jackie Malley chipped in nine points and eight rebounds and Olivia Middleton dished out a game-best seven assists.
- The Saints controlled rebounds (52-30), second chance points (22-5) and bench points (29-10).
