Fredonia, NY – Freshmen
Evan Pringle and
Jack Seamans each scored a goal, but the SUNY Canton men's hockey team dropped a road game to SUNY Fredonia 5-2 late Saturday afternoon. Pringle's goal was his team-leading eighth of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the Roos on a power play, Pringle took a feed from sophomore Brady Morrison and wristed a shot over the blocker of Blue Devil goalie Dalton Jerzak at 6:18 to go ahead 1-0. Sophomore Colton Sipperley also assisted on the play.
- Fredonia's Johnny Malandruccolo tied the game at one with just 25 seconds remaining in the period.
- SUNY Canton scored the only goal of the second period at 7:01, when freshman Jack Seamans took a feed in the slot from sophomore Brendan Morrow and slid the puck between Jerzack's pads and into the net. Senior Sam Martin assisted on the play as well.
- The Blue Devils would again tie the game at 6:26 of the third period on a Bryce Whitman goal.
- Fredonia took it's first lead of the weekend at 15:54 of the third when Maladruccolo chipped a rebound over freshman Kelson Hooper's outstretched glove to make it 3-2.
- Less than two minutes later, Kurri Woodford shot the puck through a screen that found the back of the net to make it 4-2.
- SUNY Canton pulled Hooper for the extra attacker with just over two minutes remaining. Despite some solid pressure and chances for the Roos, Fredonia was able to pot an Antonio Demacopoulos empty net goal to close out the game 5-2.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- In addition to Pringle's team leading eighth goal of the year, Morrow added an assist lifting his team-leading point total to 17 points on the season.
- The Roos were 1/4 on the power play and 5/6 on the penalty kill.
- Fredonia had a 45-28 advantage on face offs.
- Hooper made 23 saves for the Roos and Jerzak made 25 for the Blue Devils.
