Canton, NY – SUNY Canton's League of Legends 'B' team made it all the way to the championship match with eight teams earning spots in the Final Four in their respective playoff brackets as the SUNY Canton esports teams wrapped up a successful spring semester that included over 200 matches.

The Roos featured seven teams competing in Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) action and eight teams participating in State University of New York (SUNY) action this spring.

The Roos had teams competing in ECAC in the titles of League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, Halo Infinite, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Valorant.

SUNY Canton featured teams competing in SUNY play in Overwatch, Guilty Gear Strive, Halo Infinite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Rocket League, Valorant and Rainbow Six Siege.

ECAC PLAYOFFS

Both of SUNY Canton's League of Legends teams made it to the Final Four with the 'B' squad earning a 2-1 win v. Ball State before dropping a 3-0 decision to California State University Monterey Bay in the championship match.

The Halo Infinite and Overwatch teams made it to the final four in the spring ECAC playoffs. Both teams would fall in their semifinal match and drop their third-place match contests.

In the SUNY playoffs four teams qualified for the final four as the Call of Duty: Vanguard 'A', the Guilty Gear Strive 3, the Halo Infinite 'A' and the Rainbow Six Siege 'A' teams all accomplished the feat.

In addition, the Call of Duty: Warzone team finished third place out of 11 teams in their playoffs.

This wraps up a successful 2022 spring schedule as the Roos esports teams will return to action in the fall 2022 semester.
