Cobleskill, NY – Six different players scored three or more goals to lead a balanced SUNY Canton offense as the Roos closed out their regular season with a 23-9 road win at SUNY Cobleskill on Monday.
With the win the Roos improved to 6-2 in league play, while the Fighting Tigers dropped to 1-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Canton jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the opening quarter and dominated the second stanza 6-1 to take an 11-3 lead into intermission.
- The Roos continued to control things offensively and the Canton defense shut down the Tiger attack to open up a 19-5 advantage after three quarters.
- Canton emptied its bench as things were even at 4-4 in the fourth quarter for the 23-9 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Trent Dow led the offense with four goals and two assists, while Alex Jacobs added four goals and one assist. Austin Mesler supplied three goals and two assists, Zack LaFave and Hunter Olsen had three goals and one assist each and Noel Abreu scored a career-high three goals.
- Carter Pooler had a goal and two assists, Caeden Goodnough finished with a goal and assist and Logan McCargar also scored. Rory McCabe and Kyle Fingar chipped in two and one assist, respectively.
- Abreu picked up a game-high nine ground balls and won 11 face offs. Tanner Amell chipped in with five ground balls.
- Gregory Neumann led the Tigers with three goals, while Sean D'Amaro, Jake Giess and Aaron Brooks had two each.
- Sam Servati made 10 saves in the win, while John Williams stopped 17 shots in the loss.
- The Roos controlled shots on goal (40-19) and ground balls (40-30).
