Davenport, FL – Zach Miner led the Roos with two hits but Vassar College scored seven runs in the ninth inning to earn a 12-9 come-from-behind win v. SUNY Canton on Monday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos opened the scoring with one run in the second on a Frank Nieto sacrifice fly scoring Nick Shoemaker.
- Vassar took its first lead of the game with three runs in the third but Canton responded with two in the bottom of the third including a sacrifice fly from Alphonse Fuca.
- SUNY Canton opened a four run lead with one run each in the fifth and seventh innings and two in the sixth.
- Vassar bounced back in a big way with two runs in the eighth and a seven spot in the ninth inning as they led 12-7 heading to the Roos final at-bats.
- Canton got two unearned runs across but was unable to get any closer.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Zach Miner led the Roos with two hits and two runs. Don Louis Rodriguez and Frank Nieto had a hit and 2 RBI each. Fuca, Dyllon Bougor and Noah Reyes had the other hits for Canton, while Fuca, Bougor and Reyes all drew two free passes each.
- Nick Greenhawt led the Vassar bats with four hits, while Daniel Laderman, Reid Lapekas, Andrew Kanellis and Ty Murray drove in two runs each.
- Luke Barrientos earned the win tossing three innings in relief giving up a run with four walks and two strike outs.
- Gavin Neuland took the loss allowing three runs over 0.2 innings with a walk.
