Johnson, VT – The SUNY Canton women's basketball team overcame an eight point halftime deficit to win their fourth straight contest this week and picked up a 56-51 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) road win at NVU-Johnson on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos trailed 15-12 after the opening quarter and 32-24 at intermission but put together a strong second half.
- Canton outscored the Badgers 16-12 in the third quarter to cut the deficit in half and put the finishing touches on the game by dominating the fourth quarter, 16-7.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Shanelle Borth scored a game-high 15 points shooting 2-for-4 on three-pointers, while Chelsey Raven recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Samantha Dayter came up just one board short of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds and Seattle Lettau hauled down 10 rebounds.
- Paris Atuahene led Johnson with 15 points, while Shaydee Gunnell added 11.
- The Roos had the upper hand in rebounds (48-27), points in the paint (34-20) and second chance points (19-6).

The women's basketball team is back in action on Friday when they host SUNY Delhi at 7:30 p.m. The team will celebrate Senior Night.
