All Three Seniors Score in Double Figures in Dominant Win on Senior Night

Canton, NY – Chelsey Raven, Shanelle Borth and Antanasia Chambers all scored in double figures with Raven and Borth recording double-doubles in a dominant 80-31 North Atlantic Conference (NAC)  win v. SUNY Delhi on Friday evening.  

The Roos recognized Raven, Borth and Chambers in a pregame ceremony.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Roos jumped out to an early 16-7 lead after the opening quarter and dominated play in the second quarter, 28-4. The Roos led 44-11 at intermission.
  • The Canton reserves saw plenty of action in the second half as the team extended its lead cruising to victory.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Raven led all players with 21 points and 13 rebounds shooting 9-for-11 from the field in 22 minutes of action. She recorded her 11th double-double of the season. Borth picked up her third double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds in 21 minutes of action. Chambers supplied 11 points and a game-high six assists.
  • Mya Hodge chipped in eight points and three assists in 16 minutes, while Hayleigh Armstrong scored six points in nine minutes.
  • Justine Lubbers paced Delhi with 13 points, while Angelica Lazo added 12. Madilyne Kupris hauled down a team-best 12 boards.
  • The Roos dominated rebounds (73-39), points in the paint (54-14), second chance points 924-4) and points off turnovers (24-6).

The women's basketball team is back in action on Saturday when they host SUNY Cobleskill at 3 p.m.
