Borth’s Game-Winning Three at the Buzzer Lifts Roos Past Cobleskill, 55-53 in NAC Quarterfinal

Utica, NY – Shanelle Borth scored a game-high 16 points including hitting the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to lift the SUNY Canton women's basketball team to a thrilling 55-53 win v. SUNY Cobleskill in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) quarterfinal playoff game at SUNY Poly on Friday evening.

Trailing by one after a pair of free throws with 1.7 seconds remaining the Roos called timeout advancing the ball to the front court. Samantha Dayter inbounded the ball to Borth who was nothing but net on a three-pointer from the right wing as the Roos stormed the court in celebration. The win is just the second NCAA playoff win for the women's basketball program since the Roos became full-time D-III members.
