Sydney Valiquette scored her first career goal and added two assists helping SUNY Canton to a weekend sweep of Anna Maria College. With the victory the Roos are off to their best start in program history winning six straight and eight of their first 10 games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Mathilde Couture scored a power play goal at 11:51 of the first period putting the Roos ahead early 1-0. Sophomore Sandrene Garofalo was credited with the assist.
- Shayla McDonald tied the game 1-1 for the Amcats, scoring a power play goal at 16:01.
- Freshman Danika Lalonde and Asha Hanson each scored in the second period putting SUNY Canton up 4-1.
- Valiquette added a power play goal at 1:49 of the third period and juniors Gracyn Emmerton and Iida Laitinen each added another to close out the scoring and send the Roos home with the 6-1 win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Hanson's goal was the first of her career. Lalonde had an assist to go along with her goal and sophomore Sandrene Garofolo had two assists.
- SUNY Canton was 2/3 on the power play while Anna Maria was 1/5.
- Anna Maria won the faceoff battle 38-25.
- Senior Sirena Alvarez made 24 saves on 25 shots. Julia Smith finished with 28 saves in 56 minutes of work for the Amcats while Aurora Vanwormer finished with 3 in relief.
