Leibeck Buries Second of Season, Lifts Roos Over Wildcats

Cazenovia, NY – Freshman Ethan Leibeck put SUNY Canton up early and strong team defense led the Roos the rest of the way as they prevailed 1-0 over host Cazenovia College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Leibeck scored the game's only goal at 21:25 of the first half to give the Roos a 1-0 lead that they would not relinquish.
  • SUNY Canton's defense held the remainder of the game, limiting the Wildcats to just one shot on goal.
  • The Roos offense was dominant as well, outshooting Cazenovia 16-2 and created eight corner kick opportunities to Cazenovia's one.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Junior Owen Kwong finished the game saving the only shot he faced for the Roos in his fourth shutout of the season. Cazenovia's Andrew McLean finished the game with nine saves.
  • Sophomores Martin Torales and Dylan Vanderpool led SUNY Canton with two shots on goal each.
