Waterville, ME – Five players scored eight or more points while the Roos held their opponents to a season-low 39 points as the women's basketball team defeated Thomas College 67-39 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Thomas led 10-6 early on but Canton closed the first quarter on a 10-2 run to take a 16-12 lead after the opening quarter.
- The Roos dominated the second quarter outscoring the hosts 16-5 to take a commanding 32-17 lead into intermission.
- Raven led the Roos with 11 first half points, while Shanelle Borth and Briana Brousseau added seven each. Samantha Fortin had eight points for the Terriers.
- The Roos continued to keep their foot on the gas pedal doubling up Thomas 24-12 in the third quarter cruising to the victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Raven paced all players with 15 points and eight rebounds shooting 5-for-9 from the field. Borth and Brousseau finished with nine points and four rebounds apiece.
- Joie Culkin and Alexis Sullivan contributed eight points each with Culkin hauling down six boards. Samantha Dayter dished out a game-high four assists to go with seven rebounds.
- Fortin led the Terriers with 10 points and Kaylee Ravagli added nine points.
- Canton dominated rebounds (55-31), bench points (31-9), second chance points (19-1) and points in the paint (28-12).
- The Roos were also extremely efficient at the free throw line hitting on 12 of their 15 attempts, while Thomas was 13-for-24.
