Oswego, NY – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to St. John Fisher and Utica on the opening day of the Oswego Invitational on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
MATCH 1 – BOX SCORE
- St. John Fisher defeated SUNY Canton in straight sets by scores of 25-10, 25-14 and 25-7 in the opening match on Friday.
- Sarah Balcom led the Roos with two kills in the opener hitting .286 on seven attack attempts. Victoria Norton also finished with a kill on two swings (.500 attack %), while three other Roos recorded kills.
- Kay Carlson recorded an ace and Laura Clements and Nicole O'Connor posted two digs each.
- Gracie Jacob paced the Cardinals with nine kills, while Brooklyn Kicherer added eight. Kara Kingsbury recorded 15 digs and Jacob and Brooke Segars added 10 each.

SUNY Canton returns to action on the second day of the Oswego Invitational on Saturday. The Roos battled the host Lakers at 11 a.m. before squaring off with Elmira College at 1 p.m.
