Danny Santana netted a game-high 21 points but the SUNY Canton men's basketball team was unable to overcome a double-digit halftime deficit in a 78-65 loss at Clarkson University on Thursday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Santana tallied 21 points going a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line and added seven rebounds. Werner recorded his first double-double of the season on 19 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 9-for-12 from the field.
- Juztin Chambers-Phillips chipped in eight points and Quran DuBois added seven points and eight rebounds.
- SUNY Canton shot nearly 42 percent from the field for the game, while Clarkson hit on almost 40 percent of their shot attempts.
- Clarkson turned 18 SUNY Canton turnovers into 19 points, while the Roos held a 36-22 advantage in the paint. The Golden Knights knocked down 15 three-pointers.
- Joe Lucas led Clarkson with 18 points, all of which came from behind the arc. Jason Phelps tallied 15 points and eight rebounds, while Reese Swedberg and Blake Gearhart s supplied 10 points each.
