Plattsburgh, NY – Freshman Skylar Williams recorded double digit saves for the fifth time during her rookie season but visiting SUNY Canton fell 8-0 in a non-conference road game at Plattsburgh State on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Plattsburgh received three first-half goals with a pair coming from Emily Frodyma and the other from Kirsten Villemaire as they led 3-0 at intermission.
• The Cardinals tacked on five second half tallies as Villemaire recorded her second of the game seven minutes into the second half. Erin Metzger and Sophia Hatziyianis provided one goal each, while Catrina Maltes joined Frodyma and Villemaire with two scores in the game.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Williams recorded her fifth game with double digit saves this season, coming up one save short of her season-high. The rookie has now stopped 17 shots twice in the last three games. She now has 122 saves on the year, which ranks fifth for a Roo in a single season in the D-III era.
• Payton Couture was not forced to make a save as she earned the win for the Cardinals.

This concludes the Roos regular season. The women's soccer team is back in action on Saturday when it squares off with Cazenovia in a NAC Tournament quarterfinal scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at SUNY Delhi.
