Delhi, NY – Autumn Kunes scored her team-leading third goal of the season to get the Roos within a goal late, but host SUNY Delhi earned a 2-1 win in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) regular season finale for both teams on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team found the back of the net in the opening half.
- The Broncos tallied two goals in just over a three-minute span. Alivia Cordero broke the scoreless tie off a pass from Kelsey Innes in the 65th minute.
- Minutes later Becky Drumm was the recipient of a Cordero pass giving Delhi what proved to be a crucial insurance marker.
- SUNY Canton had a great chance in the 79th minute as Hailey Bentley fired a shot just under the crossbar but Delhi keeper Rachael Scoones was able to get a fingertip on the shot and tip it over the crossbar.
- Kunes got the Roos on the board with one minute and six seconds remaining as she put home a penalty kick into the top right corner to cut the deficit to one. However, the Roos ran out of time as Delhi held on for the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Skylar Williams finished with seven saves in the loss for the Roos, while Scoones made three stops for Delhi.
- Bentley led Canton with two shots on goal, while Alexis Sullivan and Kunes added one each.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Roos conclude their regular season on Tuesday when they visit Plattsburgh State in non-conference action at 6 p.m.
