Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton Athletics department will be hosting National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, February 15th. The women's basketball team will also host their Play 4 Kay game on Saturday, February 8th.
The women's hockey team will square off with Anna Maria College at 2 PM in the Roos House on February 15th. Following the contest SUNY Canton's female student-athletes will host a number of activities for youth ladies from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Roos Fieldhouse. All females are encouraged to participate. Some of the games include kickball, dodgeball, multi-sport relays and chicken in a coup.
In order to give SUNY Canton a better idea of the number of people attending please register below at the following link if you plan on attending that day.
In order to participate minors must also have a parent fill out the assumption of risk form (below) and e-mail or mail to
Teresa Minckler. The forms can be brought the day of or there will also be forms available to be filled out the day of. The parent/guardian must sign the form for those under age 18.

Women's Basketball Play 4 Kay Game February 8th
The women's basketball team will wear Play 4 Kay shirts in warm-ups and members of the SUNY Canton softball team will be collecting donations to support the fund during the women's game on February 8th at 12 PM and the men's game at 2 PM. Sandra Kay Yow was a Hall of Fame coach for the North Carolina State Wolfpack women's basketball team and passed away following a battle with cancer in 2009.
