Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's hockey team continues to receive votes in the latest United States College Hockey Online (USCHO) Top 15 Poll for the fifth consecutive poll.
After going 2-1 in a busy week, the Roos received 12 votes, what amounts to a ranking of 21st nationally. The team has lost just once over its last nine contests (7-1-1) and sits at 9-3-2 on the season in games v. NCAA D-III opponents.
The USCHO.com Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 20 voters, including coaches and hockey writers from across the country. USCHO.com provides in-depth coverage of college hockey.
Multiple Roos rank among the tops in NCAA Division III in statistical rankings.
Jesse Farabee is tied for first in the country with eight power play goals and sits 11th in goals per game (0.80).
Kyler Matthews is tied for 32nd in assists per game (0.87). Farabee, Matthews and
Max Routledge are tied for 25th with two game-winning goals each.
Austin Washkurak ranks sixth in the country in goalie winning percentage (0.833) with a 5-1-0 record.
Michael Cerasuolo is 15th in all of D-III with a .934 save percentage. As a team the Roos rank 13th in power play percentage (0.244) and 24th in scoring offense (3.47).
The Roos return to the ice on Friday when they host Albertus Magnus College at 4 p.m. in the Roos House.
