Canton, NY – Josh Yelvington scored four goals and five different players had three or more points as the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team earned a 13-8 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win v. NVU-Lyndon on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Yelvington tallied four goals and one assist, while Hunter Olsen recorded a game-high six points on two goals and four assists. Noah Robinson totaled three goals and two assists and Jacob Facey also had a hat trick with an assist. Brad Sandroni dished out three assists and Dante Coco also scored for the Roos.
- Brandon Schmidt finished with a team-high five ground balls and game-high four caused turnovers. Nick Walberger went 11-for-14 on faceoffs, while Noel Abreu was 8-for-11 as Canton combined to have a 19-6 advantage in the X.
- The Roos also controlled ground balls (50-31) and were 16-for-17 on clears, while holding a 35-22 edge in shots on goal.
- Canton jumped out to a 6-1 lead after the opening quarter and led 9-2 at the half. Multiple Roo reserves saw time after intermission as Lyndon was able to get within 12-8 late.
- Kody Kocsis made six saves in the first half to earn the win, while Justin LaDuke stopped eight shots after intermission.
- Aaron Florence turned aside 22 shots for the Hornets. Shea Jones led Lyndon with four goals, while Taner Onor had two goals and an assist.

The Roos return to conference play next Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host Husson University.
