Johnson, VT – Hunter Olsen and
Josh Yelvington scored five goals each as the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team cruised to a 21-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win in the regular season finale at NVU-Johnson on Monday.
The Roos finish the regular season 9-6 overall and a perfect 6-0 in conference play as regular season NAC champions.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olsen and Yelvington supplied five goals each while combining for three assists. Jacob Facey also had a hat trick with an assist and Josh Monplaisir scored twice. Andrew Garrett, Dante Coco and Brad Sandroni finished with a goal and assist each and Sonny White dished out a pair of assists. Brandon Schmidt, Mike Gariepy and Jeffrey Perez each found the back of the net once.
- The Roos scored the first nine goals of the contest and took a 9-1 lead into intermission. Yelvington had four first-half tallies. Johnson scored their lone goal of the game late in the first half.
- SUNY Canton scored three goals each in the third and fourth quarters for the 21-1 final.
- Nick Walberger won 10 faceoffs and tied a team-high with five ground balls. Garrett Fields picked up five ground balls and Schmidt totaled four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Noah Holmes recorded the Badgers lone goal.
- Justin LaDuke earned the win with five saves in the first half, while Parker Hornung made six second-half stops.
- Patrick Bell made four saves in the start and Jacob Switzer turned aside two shots in relief.
WHAT'S NEXT
By virtue of their unbeaten conference record the Roos have earned the one seed and will host a home game on Saturday, April 27th. Official seeds and matchups for the conference tournament will be announced by the NAC office Tuesday evening following the official completion of the regular season.
