Marcy, NY – Jacob Facey led the team with four goals and six ground balls but the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team fell 16-13 on the road at SUNY Poly on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Facey's four goals tied a game-high, while his six ground balls tied a team-high with Blaze Benedict. Noah Robinson totaled two goals and three assists, while Josh Yelvington finished with two goals and one assist.
- Andrew Garrett found the back of the net twice, Hunter Olsen tallied a goal and assist and Brandon Schmidt and Dante Coco also scored. Benedict caused four turnovers, while Schmidt recorded three.
- The Roos jumped out to a 4-3 lead after the opening quarter, but the host Wildcats outscored Canton 9-3 over the second and third quarters. The visitors bounced back outscoring the hosts 6-4 over the final 15 minutes but were unable to complete the comeback.
- Justin LaDuke made eight saves in the loss, while Samuel Rubin turned aside eight shots in the win.
- Edward Rosaschi paced the Wildcats with 10 points on four goals and six assists, while Chase LaCava scored twice and Charles Rosaschi added a hat trick.
- The Wildcats held the edge in faceoffs (18-12) and ground balls (50-46).
WHAT'S NEXT
The men's lacrosse team is back to North Atlantic Conference play on Saturday when it visits Maine Maritime Academy at 12 p.m.
