Women’s Hockey Closes out Weekend CHC Series at Endicott

Beverly, MA – Brooke Susac made 34 saves on the afternoon but host Endicott College scored one goal in each period to earn a 3-0 win v. the SUNY Canton women's hockey team on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Courtney Walpole, Tabitha Franceschini and Jillian Gibbs each scored goals in the first, second and third periods, respectively to earn the win. Walpole and Gibbs tallies came on the power play.
  • Micayla Macintyre led the Roos with four shots, while Jessica Pele and Noelle Niemiec had three each.
  • Susac stopped 15 shots in the second period and 11 in the third period to keep Canton in the game throughout. Vendela Jonsson made 24 stops for the Gulls who were 2-for-5 on the power play.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The women's hockey team will host Becker College in CHC action on Friday at 4 p.m. The team will raise money and awareness for heart disease as well as celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
