Beverly, MA – Jessica Pele scored her sixth goal of the season but a three-goal first period carried host Endicott College to a 5-1 win v. SUNY Canton on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Endicott received three first period goals less than three minutes apart off the sticks of Courtney Walpole, Caroline Hughes and Mackenzie Mallett to lead 3-0 after one.
• Neither team found the back of the net in the second 20 minutes although Canton produced six shots in the frame.
• Courtney Sullivan netted a pair of goals just over seven minutes apart in the first half of the third period to extend the lead to five.
• Pele got Canton the board with 1:29 remaining on the power play. Kelly Leathem and Sarah Kosnaskie were credited with assists on the play.
• Brooke Susac made 21 saves over the first two plus periods, while Kayla Lauzon turned aside 10 of the 11 shots she faced in the first action of her rookie season.
• Both teams went 1-for-2 on the power play and penalty kill.
