Marcy, NY – Randolph Butler scored off a penalty kick in the 13th minute and that proved to be the difference to lift SUNY Poly to a 1-0 win v. the SUNY Canton men's soccer team in non-conference action on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The hosts got on the board first in the 13th minute when Butler converted on a penalty kick following a Roos defensive foul in the box.
- The Wildcats held a slim 3-2 edge in shots on goal in the opening half taking the one-goal lead into intermission.
- SUNY Canton had the lone shot on goal in the second half.
- The Roos controlled corner kicks, 8-4 in the contest.
- Dawson Pellerin finished the game with two saves, while Nathan Loughlin turned aside three shots for the Wildcats.
- Alex Kenmogne paced the Roos with two shots on goal.
