Box Score 2 Center Valley, PA – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches v. Juniata College and Cabrini College on the second day of the DeSales Tournament.
The Roos dropped the opener to Juniata 3-0 (12-25, 11-25, 24-26) and fell to Cabrini in the nightcap 3-0 (23-25, 14-25, 14-25).

HOW IT HAPPENED
MATCH 1
- Juniata started the game red hot with a 17-3 run to open the first set, winning 25-12.
- The Roos battled early in the second set, but Juniata was able to pull away winning 25-11.
- In a tight third set, Canton was able to take a 24-23 lead over the nationally ranked Eagles, but Juniata was able to go on a late run to win the set 26-24
- Ashton Houppert led SUNY Canton with 24 assists, while Marissa Ixtlahuac tallied 8 kills.
MATCH 2
- In a close first set, Cabrini was able to edge the Roos 25-23.
- Cabrini came out strong in the second set, defeating the Roos 25-14.
- Cabrini was able to finish the match with a 25-14 win in the third set.
- Melissa McMaster led the Roos with 10 kills while Ashton Houppert recorded 26 assists.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos open North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play next Saturday when they head to SUNY Delhi to take on Maine Maritime Academy and Husson University at 12 and 2 p.m., respectively.
