Bryn Athyn, PA – The SUNY Canton men's hockey team scored five unanswered goals in less than a 10-minute stretch to earn a 5-3 victory and complete the weekend sweep at Bryn Athyn College on Saturday. The Roos have won four of their past five contests and are now two games above .500 at 10-8-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bryn Athyn scored once in each period, all coming in the form of power play goals as they held a 3-0 lead two minutes into the third period.
- The Roos finally got on the board at 7:08 of the final period with 34 seconds left on the power play. Jake Mayette scored his seventh of the season off passes from Sean Shepard and Sean David.
- Just 15 seconds later Bryn Athyn was whistled for another infraction and less than a minute later a second penalty. With 23 seconds left in the 5-on-3 Max Routledge slotted his second of the season. Tyson Bruce and Kyler Matthews earned helpers on the play.
- Canton tied the game up with one second left on the ensuing 5-on-4 when David lit the lamp for the sixth time this season. Classmate Sean Shepard and Mayette were credited with assists on the play.
- After the Roos killed a penalty of their own they continued to seize the momentum as Zach Pease put home his second goal of the season, which proved to be the game-winner, with 5:26 remaining. Reily McIntosh and Bruce set up the score.
- Canton tacked on a crucial insurance goal with 3:11 remaining as Bullard beat the opposing goaltender for the third time this season off passes from Shepard and Mayette.
- Bryn Athyn pulled the goalie with 1:55 remaining but Michael Cerasuolo stopped the only shot he faced.
- Mayette and Shepard led SUNY Canton with three points each, while Bruce and David also recorded multi-point outings.
- Cerasuolo made 27 saves to improve to 9-2-2 on the season, while McKenzie Chalmers made 15 stops in the loss.

The men's hockey team will host SUNY Geneseo next Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Roos House.
