Canton, NY – Robert Dubose scored a game-high 31 points and visiting Northern Vermont University-Johnson outscored SUNY Canton by 19 points after halftime to earn a 75-66 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Andrew Fitch led the Roos with 11 points and seven rebounds, while Brandon Adkisson also scored in double figures with 10 points. George Nehma added nine points, all in the first half, and Robert Holliday, Jr. totaled eight points, 12 rebounds and five assists.
- The game was back-and-forth early as the teams were tied at 15 with 7:51 left in the opening half. The Roos used a 20-8 run to take a 35-23 lead with just under two minutes remaining. Canton led 38-28 at intermission.
- The Badgers used a 35-19 out of halftime to take a 63-57 lead with 4:23 to play after a layup by Dubose. Brandon Adkisson responded with a three-pointer off a baseline out-of-bounds play but Dubose knocked down another jumper to extend the lead to five.
- Dubose continued his impressive game knocking down a pair of free throws with 2:03 left to extend the lead to seven. Quran DuBois split a pair of free throws and Canton pulled down a pair of offensive rebounds but was unable to convert.
- Dubose knocked down a dagger three-pointer as the shot clock was expiring with 1:06 remaining to extend the lead to nine sealing the win.
- Both teams made 25 field goals in the contest but the Roos shot just 4-for-27 from three-point range. Canton held the upper hand in points in the paint (40-22) and second chance points (20-9).
- Dubose led all players with 31 points and added 10 points, while Tyhee Taylor also had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Vernon Slater chipped in 15 points.
