HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ashley Gillies gave the Roos a 1-0 lead at 1:45 of the second period on her fifth goal of the season. Sarah Kosnaskie forced a turnover at the left faceoff circle leaving the puck for Gillies who beat Nor'easter net minder Julia Benjamin through the five-hole.
- The hosts evened the score at 13:04 of the middle period with the skater advantage when Jessie Scott lit the lamp for the seventh time this season.
- Pele cashed in on her fifth goal of the season at 14:57 of the third period, which proved to be the game-winner. Whitney Bernier fed the puck from down low to Micayla Macintyre at the left point who hit Kelly Leathem with a cross-ice pass. Leathem fired a one-timer toward the net and Pele came across traffic out in front and redirected the puck top shelf just under the cross bar and over the glove of Benjamin.
- Brooke Susac made 19 saves including 10 in the second period as she improved to 8-7-3 on the season. Benjamin turned aside 26 shots in the loss.
