Potsdam, NY – The SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team scored a pair of first period goals to earn a 3-0 win v. the SUNY Canton women's hockey team in non-conference action on Tuesday evening at Maxcy Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bears potted a pair of goals 31 seconds apart in the opening period. Miranda Kolb slotted her fifth goal of the season 23 seconds into a Potsdam power play. Natalie Wasielewski added her sixth of the season 31 seconds later to double the hosts lead.
  • Potsdam took a 3-0 lead at 7:03 of the middle period on Keira Thacker's first goal.
  • The Roos generated 17 total shots as Breanna Bedborough, Jessica Pele and Ashley Gillies totaled three each.
  • Brooke Susac made 20 saves in the loss, while Samantha White recorded 17 stops in the shutout.
