Brockport, NY – Austin Washkurak stopped 25 shots but host Brockport scored twice in the final period to earn a 3-0 win v. the SUNY Canton men's hockey team on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos held a 10-9 shots advantage and killed off a pair of first period penalties as the teams remained scoreless after one.
- Brockport held a slim 11-8 shots edge in the second period and that paid off when they converted at 5:46 of the middle period on the power play on Doc Gentzler's fifth goal of the season. The Golden Eagles doubled their lead at 12:51 of the third period on a Kyle Collette goal.
- Canton pulled Washkurak two minutes, 30 seconds remaining and got one shot that was ultimately blocked off before Ryan Romeo sealed the win with an empty-netter with 30 seconds remaining.
- Washkurak totaled 25 saves on 27 shots including 10 in the second period, while Sean Lincoln made 26 stops in the shutout.
- Kyler Matthews led both teams with six shots and Jake Mayette was a game-best 9-for-13 on faceoffs.
