Canton, NY – Edward Malinoski Jr. led the Roos with three goals and two assists, while
Hamza Meer added two goals and an assist of his own to help lead the Roos to a 9-0 victory over Paul Smith's College on Wednesday evening.
Malinoski Jr. started the scoring for the Roos (4-4-2) just two minutes into the first half as he scored on a breakaway off passes from
Will Austin and
Kevin Velasquez. Less than two minutes later,
Kyle Smith found the back of the net for his second goal of the season.
Roos reserve, Meer was involved in a pair of goals, including his second career goal with a header over the keeper.
Evran Akman added his first goal of the year in the 19
th minute before the Roos converted for a goal after a deflection off a Paul Smith's defender.
Malinoski Jr. completed the hat trick 17 minutes into the second half.
John Cremo tallied his first career goal in the 77th minute after the Bobcats keeper stopped an initial shot from
Daniel DeSalvatore.
Tyler Petersen earned his second career win playing the first half, while
Kyle Woods and
Dawson Pellerin both saw time after halftime. The Bobcats (3-7-0) goalie, Christopher Perotta, finished the day with 10 saves.
